This Privacy Policy explains how AmbushIQ ("we," "us") handles information on this website, ambushiq.com. We keep data collection to a minimum and we don't sell your personal information.

Scope: this policy covers the AmbushIQ website. The AmbushIQ hunting app handles your maps, hunts, and photos separately; app data stays on your device and is governed by the app's own terms.

Information we collect

Email address — when you join our early-access waitlist or newsletter. This is handled by our email provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit).
Anything you send us — for example, if you email us a question.
Automatically collected data — standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and how you use the site, gathered through hosting logs and privacy-conscious analytics.
Cookies — small files used to make the site work. This includes affiliate-tracking cookies set when you click one of our affiliate links (see below).

How we use it

To send you the updates or early-access information you signed up for.
To operate, measure, and improve the site and our content.
To credit qualifying purchases you make through our affiliate links.

AmbushIQ participates in the Amazon Associates Program; clicking one of our links may let Amazon place a cookie in your browser so any resulting purchase is credited to us. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site — currently our email provider (Kit), our host (Netlify), and our analytics provider. We also share data with Amazon through the Amazon Associates Program; we will list any additional affiliate network here as it goes live. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share your email with other marketers.

Unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email we send.
Request access or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us.
Cookies — you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; some site features may work less smoothly.

Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights over your data. Email us and we'll honor applicable requests.

Data retention & security

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed or until you ask us to remove it. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
